First I thought I´d only post a couple of shots, but you know, it´s not from every gig you get such dramatic, atmospheric pictures, and so many at that! And it being our first gig with the new Bitty-crew (as I´m SURE you all know by heart now - we do keep on reminding you, heh), I thought what the heck, let´s give Kerttu´s pics all the honour they deserve. ♥

So here goes. It´s almost like seeing the whole show if you put on the music on (the link was a couple posts earlier) while watching! Ladies, gentlemen and everyone in between or over the rainbow, may I present - The Itty-Bitty Tease Cabaret in "Ghost Town"!

LIVING DEAD GIRLS AND 50FT WOMEN

This summer´s Kult gatherings are over, but here´s for hoping the same fun might continue next year! Who knows...

PHOTO SHOOTS! AND OTHERSUCH.

After the well-deserved summer holidays it´s easy to notice autumn is coming nigh... suddenly there´s so much to do! Of course, we haven´t been resting only, seeing as we practiced the new group routine and made the clothes for it during July and August - and I can tell you it´s quite a lot to do, sometimes, painting five pairs of skeleton gloves for instance. That´s ten gloves for you, each of them painted twice... so yeah. Not only resting. ;)

However, come autumn, it´s time for photo shoots as well. You already saw the first group promo pics of us by Emma Jo, posing as wild and fierce jungle kitties, but I´ve been busy elsewhere as well. Here are some results from a photo shoot with Adam Monaghan that I was doing last week, mainly foot modeling but some portraits as well, here you go, I like the results a lot myself:













Adam is a skilled photographer who´s comfortable and easy to work with and we always end up having a lot of fun. He occasionally shoots at burlesque clubs as well, mostly b&w. I do think that my nice brand new red heels deserved the colour attention in these pics though. ;)

INTERMEZZO

OH WE´VE BEEN SO QUIET! But that´s going to change, and maybe in the summer you´re actually allowed, if not entitled to, to taking some time off and gathering strength from the sun and the fresh air to last through the dark moons... but we´re not there yet. Just wanted to pop by and tell you that there´s actually a whole lot bubbling under the surface and you´ll see and hear of it soon enough. A new group routine coming on for example, we´ve been busy practising for the next Kokonut Kult (it´s on 25th August, and you should all come.)! And yesterday we had a photo shoot for new promo pics which you´ll see here in no time at all. So bear with us, we´ll be back soon with all sorts of this-and-that. Promise. ♥

NEWS FROM BITTYLANDIA!

Spring has finally arrived even to Helsinki, Western Siberia, and with it some new and exciting changes – Jackie O´Lantern and Lola Manchego will be looking for new adventures off stage after our grandiose Las Vegas escapade in early June! Wish them your luck and love!

But wait, there's more! – The Itty-Bitty Tease Cabaret is also very pleased to announce that two gorgeous ladies will be joining the party: welcome Kitty Litter and Brion Bonaventura! Check them out on our website and see the new crew in all of it's glory on stage at the Kokonut Kult club at Tiki Bar Kokomo in August. Yay yay yay!

Stay in tune for a more thorough update on where and when to catch any or all of us on stage! Coming soon, perhaps even tonight if I manage to be really, really good...

HEAVEN OR LAS VEGAS

Long time no see! After a well-deserved winter break the Bitties are rested and eager to face new things to come - and boy, will there ever be some, and then more! Some of it will remain a surprise for a little while still (but I can assure you we´re chuffed!!!), but some of it is fancy news already -

- WE´RE GOING TO LAS VEGAS! In June! That´s right, The Itty-Bitties will be ruffling their plumage at the one and only Burlesque Hall of Fame June the 2nd. This year there will be more Finns taking the stage there than ever before, because Olivia Rouge and LouLou D´Vil will be there as well! Ain´t it marvellous. Expect long and excited rants about preparations, packing, performances and what-not.

Furthermore, our first-ever burlesque beginners´ course was finished and celebrated with sparkling wine and cheerful performances within the pink walls of Bittycave - here you can see the teachers, trying to look as stern and proper as teachers should...



Also, three of us got the chance to shoot with the fantastic (and oh so sweet!) Kaylin Idora during her visit to Finland; more on that, too, later, we hope, but here are some teasers to go:

( ... that was by the way the quickest photo shoot I´ve ever had the pleasure to attend. Twenty minutes tops, and we were done. Of course, the snow and the cold helped with being very efficient!)

We´re so lucky to work with such talented people. The wonderful and skilled photographers of Atelieri O. Haapala were at the Helsinki Burlesque Festival as well, and this is what they got out of the Bitties in our group number costumes!


The feather headpieces in the fan number are the handiwork of Tiisin´ Design, while the corsets in the tiger routine are custom ordered from Belle Modeste.

One Thousand and One Nights

Phew, the Helsinki Burlesque Festival 2011 is over! We had so much fun - the audience was amazing and the other performes just awesome. Here's one picture of us Itty-Bitties, taken by cutiepie Kiki Havaiji - we'll post some more later!

Packing and Preparing

The Itty-Bitty Tease Cabaret girls are busy sewing the last sequins and packing their feather-filled bags for tomorrow. Then it's time for Helsinki Burlesque Festival 2011!
